Bulldogs Conclude 2023-24 Campaign with Ninth-Place Showing at SoCon Championship

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Citadel women's golf team capped the 2023-24 season with a ninth-place overall team performance at the 2024 Southern Conference Women's Golf Championship, posting a strong showing throughout the 54-hole stroke-play event all day Sunday, April 14 through Tuesday, April 16 at the Moss Creek Golf Club.
ETSU secured the tournament victory behind a total 879 while Samford (892), Furman (902), Mercer (911) and Chattanooga (912) rounded out the top five. The Bulldogs slotted in at ninth behind a final 1012.
Senior Megan Ikeda paced the Bulldogs via a 32-over performance, garnering 40th on the final leaderboard, while fellow senior Paige Gilstrap trailed just behind at 34-over en route to 41st overall. Additionally, sophomores Naomi Huang (+40, 42nd) and Maggie Parmer (+44, 43rd) along with freshman Sofia Vargas (+51, 44th) closed out The Citadel placements.
