MILL SPRING, N.C. – The Citadel men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the 2025 Southern Conference championships. The men's team finished ninth overall, and the women's team finished tenth.
 
Carson Diggs finished as The Citadel's top runner with a time of 27:13.6. Abigail Thiessen was the top female runner for The Citadel with a time of 20:32.4. Three freshmen on the women's team finished in a row in Brylee Deering (21:07.5), Caroline Plummer (21:08.5), and Emily Brant (21:28.2).

"We had a great day with a predominantly freshman group on both the men's and women's teams. They pushed to the hilly finish line in Western North Carolina", said head coach Marie Domin. "Our sophomores were the top performers of the day. Abby and Carson led the way, but I know we have some unfinished business. I'm excited to see this group grow over the next few years. They're all embracing the growth mindset and ready for upcoming challenges! Indoor track season is next."
