3/4/2026 12:11:00 PM

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference released the seeding for the 2026 SoCon Wrestling Championship, per an announcement from the league office Wednesday. The championship launches Friday, March 6, and concludes on Saturday, March 7, at Kimmel Arena on the campus of UNC Asheville in Asheville, N.C.

Less than two weeks removed from capturing the program's first SoCon regular-season crown since 2004 behind a third straight double-digit win season, The Citadel (11-7, 7-1 SoCon) along with its eight league adversaries are slated to compete for the 2026 Southern Conference title as well as 10 individual allocations available for the upcoming NCAA DI Wrestling Championships in Cleveland, Ohio.

The SoCon earned one automatic bid to the NCAA Championships for each of the 10 weight classes, reserved for every individual conference tournament champion.
