The Citadel Rifle Announces 2026-27 Schedule

CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Citadel rifle program announced the team's upcoming 2026-27 schedule, featuring 11 home match dates over the course of a five-month stretch.
"I am very excited about the upcoming season. We have added two strong athletes to the team, and we are fortunate to return a talented, experienced group committed to working together toward the same goal," said head coach Claire O'Neel. "Everyone is eager to get back to practice and competition, and we are looking forward to what should be a great season. We hope to see everyone come out and support us at our matches."
The Bulldogs open the season Oct. 10 at home against Georgia Southern, with both the mixed and women's teams set to compete. The Citadel remains in the Lowcountry for an Oct. 17 clash against UAB before traveling to Sills Range to face VMI on Oct. 24.
The Bulldogs return to Charleston on Oct. 31 for a home matchup against TCU before traveling to face Wofford on Nov. 7.
The Citadel will host Jacksonville State for back-to-back competition dates Nov. 14-15; of note, the women's team will only compete on Nov. 14 while the mixed squad will feature on both days against the Gamecocks.
Following the winter break, the mixed team resumes competition Jan. 23 on the road against Georgia Southern before heading home on Jan. 30 to host VMI.
The Bulldogs welcome Jacksonville State on Feb. 6, and the women's team will host Georgia Southern on Feb. 12.
The Citadel continues the home stretch with Navy on Feb. 14 with both the mixed and women's teams set to compete. The women's team turns around for a second day of action against Navy on Feb. 15 as well.
The Bulldogs close the slate Feb. 20 by hosting Wofford in NCAA qualifying competition.
