Biography

2012: Posted a 3-19 singles record collecting wins over Benedict, Spartanburg Methodist and Chicago… registered a 1-1 record competing as high as the No. 1 position… finished the season with a 3-5 doubles record competing in the No. 1 and No. 2 positions… victories came against Coastal Carolina with partner David Orces and Benedict and Spartanburg Methodist with partner John Armstrong… honored with the Men’s Tennis Academic Award with a GPA of 3.95 at the first-ever The Citadel Athletic Award Banquet.

Fall 2011: Competed in singles and doubles play at USC Upstate Fall Invitational, Southern Intercollegiate Championships, UNC Asheville Fall Invitational, and Citadel Fall Invitational... saw action with Peter Bleach, John Armstrong, and James Atkinson.

2011: Finished with a 5-18 overall singles record while going 0-9 in SoCon action... first singles win of the season came in the fifth match against Richmond University... completed the season with a 4-17 overall doubles record while going 0-9 in the SoCon... competed as high as the No. 1 seed with David Orces in matches against No. 53 Clemson and Coastal Carolina and with Jeremiah Dye against Richmond...won the Coleman Lew Leadership award.

Fall 2010: Competed in singles competition at the UNC Greensboro Fall Invitational and the ITA Carolinas Regional Tournament... paired with Dillon Berkabile and John Dunn in doubles competition.

2010: Finished with an overall record of 4-17 and 0-8 in SoCon... collected a 9-11 doubles record... teamed with David Orces to defeat the duo of Kevin Galloway and Wes Moran of then nationally ranked No. 64 Clemson... picked up conference wins in doubles action against Furman, Elon and Davidson while teamed with Luis Morett... garnered to the 2010 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athletes List.

Fall 2009: Went 1-1 in doubles action with Jeremiah Dye at the Georgia Southern Fall Invitational.

2009: Won match in doubles with Martin King against Chattanooga... competed in one singles match against No. 61 Elon.

Fall 2008: Compete in doubles play in Quality Inn/Georgia Southern Invitational...participated in doubles and singles play at College of Charleston Invitational.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School... a three-year letterman at Cardinal Mooney... coached by George Berth and Tim Robinson.

Personal: Full name is Joshua Thomas Cook... born May 26, 1990... son of Maryam and Albert Cook... majoring in civil engineering.
