Biography

2009... Earned a personal-best record in the 110m hurdles, running a time of 17.24 for 12th place at the Tiger Open (3/7)... also set a personal-record in the 400m dash with a time of 51.65 for 13th place at the Tiger Invitational (2/21)... ran 7.56 for an 18th place finish at the Tiger Invitational (2/21) in the 60m dash... recorded a new personal-best record in the discus when he threw 107'06.00" for seventh place at the UNF Osprey Challenge (4/18)... had a third place finish in the discus at Charleston Southern (4/1) with a mark of 98'05.00"...  broke his record in the heptathlon when he tallied 4,534 points for sixth place at the SoCon Indoor Championships... also broke his personal-record in the decathlon when he tallied 5,987 points at the SoCon Outdoor Championships... a set a new personal-best record in the javelin with a mark of 146'09.00" for fifth place a the UNF Osprey Challenge (4/18)... his highest finish in the javelin was at Charleston Southern when he threw 145'08.00" for second place... posted new personal-best indoor and outdoor records in the pole vault... first at the SoCon Indoor Championships when he had a mark of 14'01.25" for ninth place... at the Duke Invitational (4/4) when he vaulted 14'07.25" for 10th place... threw the shot put for the first and only time at the Robert Jet Johnson Relays (3/14) when he recorded a mark of 33'05.75" for 13th place.

2008... Finished fourth at the Clemson Opener in pole vault marking 13’ 7.25” in indoors... placed fifth in pole vault with a mark of 13’ 09.25” at the Thomson Invitational...  in outdoors, came in first place in the 400m hurdles at the Furman Invitational with a mark of 58.44 and finished fifth in pole vault with 13’ 0” also at Furman... placed sixth in the Southern Conference Indoor Championships in the heptathlon with 3,828 points and fourth in the Southern Conference Outdoors for decathlon with 5,817 points.

High School... A 2007 graduate of Riverside Military Academy... lettered in track, football and wrestling... named North Georgia Athlete of the Year and Track Athlete of the Year... high school team won football state championship in 2006 and wrestling state championship all four years... named senior class president.

Personal... Son of Betsy Miller... born on Jan. 1, 1988 in Nashville, Tenn.... majoring in sport management.
