Biography

JUNIOR (2012): Earned all-conference honors as a member of the 4x400 team that took second place at the indoor conference championships with a time of 3:18.47, the mark moved the team into fourth place in Citadel history … honored with all-conference as a member of the 4x400 team that took second place at the outdoor championships race with a time of 3:21.49 … etched his name in The Citadel record books at the Tiger Paw Invitational with a time of 36.34 in the 300, earning seventh place … took second place as a member of the 4x400 relay team which recorded a time of 3:20.48 at the Tiger Paw Invitational … finished in sixth place in the 400 at the Palmetto Classic with a time of 50.58 … moved into sixth place all-time in Citadel history in the sprint medley with a recorded mark of 3:29.36 at the Raleigh Relays … a member of the 4x100 team that posted a season-best mark of 42.62 at the Carolina’s Cup.

SOPHOMORE (2011): Ran the 200 and finished with a personal-best record at the Niswonger Invitational finishing with a time 22.72 ... competed in the 300, placing 10th at the Tiger Paw Invitational with a time of 36.01 ... teamed up in the 4x400 relay to earn a time of 3:17.76 to finish in first place at the SoCon Indoor Championships to record The Citadel’s fastest time while competing on the Clemson Track and Field Indoor Complex ... tabbed with All-Conference Honors for his role in the 4x400 relay ... claimed first place in the 200 with a time of 22.25 and third-place in the 100 with a time of 10.94 at the Palmetto Classic … a part of the 4x200 relay team that recorded a time of 1:27.46 and earned a season-best 4x400 time of 3:19.06 to finish eighth place at the Shamrock Invitational … finished in seventh place with the 4x100 relay team that posted a time of 42.89 at the Weems Baskin Invitational.

FRESHMAN (2010): A member of the 4X400 relay team that finished first at the SoCon Outdoor Championships with a season-best time of 3:15.91 …  ran with the 4x100 which finished in third with a season-best time of 41.55 … the same 4x400 relay squad also finished third at the SoCon Indoor Championships … each finish garnered league all-conference accolades … also finished with a SoCon All-Freshman selection at the SoCon Outdoor Championships after recording two sixth places finishes, running a time of 10.78 seconds in the 100 and a time of 22.02 in the 200 … finished the outdoor season with four, fourth-place finishes in seven attempts in the 100. 

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 graduate of Fort Mill High School … earned two letters in football, two in baseball and one in track and field … ran a time of 10.88 in the 100 to hold Fort Mill’s school record … recorded a time of 22.12 in the 200 to also hold the school record … all-region football player … earned the Most Promising Offensive Player and MVP awards … earned the Tri-County Offensive Player of the Week and Tri-County Special Teams Player of the Year award.

PERSONAL: Son of Steve and Terri Johnson … majoring in criminal justice.
