The Citadel Director of Athletics Mike Capaccio and Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Jody Huddleston have announced Marie Domin as the Bulldogs’ new Cross Country Head Coach.
Before coming to The Citadel, Domin was the Boys' and Girls' Head Cross Country coach and assistant Track coach at Lucy Beckham High School from 2021-24. She coached a state champion in the 800 meters while coordinating schedules, developing workout programs, and analyzing stats to improve her runners.
She was the 4A State Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2011. She coached individual state champions in the 4x800 (South Carolina State Record), 800, 1600, and 3200.
Domin was a cross country and track & field student-athlete at Virginia Commonwealth University. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from VCU in 2000 and received her Master of Fine Arts in Secondary English Education from VCU in 2001.
A native of Yorktown, Virginia, Domin and her husband have a daughter.
