Graduated from Emerald High School in 2008... a lettered in track and field and also participated in basketball... an All-Region member and earned the Kendrick Childs Award at Emerald... posted marks of 15.2 in the 100m hurdles and 1:06 in the 400m hurdles... was a member of the Beta Club and National Technical Honor Society.

Personal... Born April 16, 1990... daughter of Nadine Gilchrist and Norman Poteat... sister to Kelly, Nikki, Sydney, Syranna and Danny... majoring in political science and psychology.
