FRESHMAN (2013): Competed in 13 meets his freshman season … earned his career-best time in the 400 hurdles of 59.24 at the Palmetto Classic.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, S.C. … three-year letter winner in baseball, football and track and field … ran 14.8 in the 110 high hurdles and 58.2 in 400 intermediate hurdles … also competed on the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.

PERSONAL: Son of Eric Smith and Angela Johnson … majoring in electrical engineering.
