High School... Graduated from Sierra High School in May 2009... earned three letters in track and field, two letters in football and one in golf... jumped for a fourth place finish in the high jump at the Colorado State meet with a mark of 6' 4"... Sierra was the state runners-up in track in 2008 and 2009... was a member of the Metro League where they won championships in 2006 and 2008... was a regional champion in 2006 and 2008.

Personal... Born Sept. 3, 1991... son of Greg and Rina Newton... brother to Qing and Adrienne... chose The Citadel over Naval Academy, Coast Guard Academy, Norwich, Virginia Military Institute, Norfolk State and Eastern Michigan... majoring in history.
