The Citadel Athletics

Cassie Arroyo joined The Citadel staff in December 2016 and served as the Associate Director of Athletic Equipment. Prior to the 2018-19 season, she moved to the Academic Support Center where she helps cadet-athletes with their degree progression and monitoring study hall.

Arroyo is familiar with The Citadel athletic department, having assisted with game day statistics for volleyball and men’s basketball for the past three years.

Arroyo brings a wealth of collegiate experience with her, most recently serving as Senior Women’s Administrator, head softball coach and Sports Information Director at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, from 2007-2011. As the SWA, Arroyo was in charge of purchasing equipment and supplies for all 18 varsity teams, contracting and scheduling officials and served as a game day administrator including crowd control, coordination of event, staffing and personnel. Arroyo also served as Interim Deputy Athletics Director from Oct. 2010 to July 2011.

Prior to working at USMMA, Arroyo made stops in the athletic departments at Suffolk County Community College, McGann-Mercy High School and Southampton College.

A Bayport, New York, native, Arroyo earned her Bachelor’s degree from Southampton College in 1998 and received her Master’s in management from New England College in 2012.
