SOPHOMORE (2016-17): Competed in 36 total matches during sophomore campaign ... tallied another conference win to his record over Davidson on Feb. 19 ... earned a personal-best five pins on the season.

FRESHMAN (2015-16): Finished freshman campaign with 9-19 record at 125 weight class … earned first win of career against Logan Durham (App State) at Wolfpack Open (11/22) by 9-6 decision … picked up second win of the season over Collin Stewart (Campbell) at Southern Scuffle (1/1) by 14-9 decision … reeled off three straight wins over Trayton Libolt (Grand Canyon), Collin Stewart (Campbell) and Joe Antonelli (SIUE) to improve to 3-3 in duals … went 2-2 at All-Academy Championships (1/30) with a pin over Sean Badua (Army) and a tech fall over Mike Mui (Merchant Marine) to earn fourth place … pinned Anthony Bosco (North Carolina) in 3:37 … earned his third pin of the season over Cortez Starkes  (Gardner-Webb) in 6:32 at the SoCon Championship … faced No. 3 and No. 13 wrestlers in the country over the course of the season.

PERSONAL: A 2015 graduate of Mason High School in Springfield, Ohio … Son of Kim and Bo Kearney … plans on majoring in psychology … father played baseball for Anderson University.
