Boucher Promoted to Bulldogs Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

Charleston, S.C. The Citadel Athletics Department named Donnell Boucher the new head strength and conditioning coach for Bulldog Athletics, announced Tuesday by senior associated athletics director Ray Whiteman.

 

Boucher, previously the assistant strength and conditioning coach, will replace Frank Wintrich who left in February to take a position at South Florida. Boucher joined the staff in the April of 2007 after working as the performance director at Competitive Athlete Training Zone in Auburn, Mass. where he trained athletes of all of all levels in performance enhancement. Prior to his stint at Competitive Athlete Training Zone, Boucher was a volunteer strength and conditioning coach at Iona University.

 

He earned a bachelor's degree in health education from Worcester State College where he was a four-year football letterman. As a three-year starter he was a recipient of the Scholar Athlete Award in 2004 and 2005. His strength and conditioning certifications include CPR/BLS Health Care Provider and AED, along with being a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist.

 

Boucher's promotion went into effect on April 1.
