An honorary inductee … served as head football coach and director of athletics from 1922-29 … compiled an eight-season overall record of 41-32-4 (.558) ... guided the Bulldogs to winning records in six of eight years … went 7-3 in 1926 as the Cadets defeated both Clemson and South Carolina ... the seven victories in 1926 marked the most wins in a season for a Bulldog team until 1959 when The Citadel posted an 8-2 ledger ... a decorated combat soldier in World War I, Prause was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, the Purple Heart, the British Military Cross and the French Croix de Guerre.
