Chapel Hill, N.C. - The Citadel Tennis team opened competition at the ITA Carolinas Regional Tournament on Thursday on the campus of UNC Chapel Hill. The tournament began with doubles action, where all three Bulldog duos were defeated in the opening round of 64.

James Atkinson and Dillon Berkabile teamed up and faced Coastal Carolina's Leo Christofides and Yusuke Kusuda. The Bulldogs were defeated by the Chanticleers 8-3. David Orces and Olzhas Taniyev partnered up and faced the Duke tandem of Jared Pinsky and Fred Saba. The Blue Devils defeated the Cadets 8-1. Also competing in doubles action for the Bulldogs were Josh Cook and John Dunn. The duo was defeated by Southern Conference opponent Davidson's Walker Lyons and Chris Mark 8-3.
