Charleston, S.C. - The Bulldog track and field teams will take their first of two trips of the indoor season to Clemson, S.C. when they travel on Friday, Feb. 11 to the Tiger Paw Invitational. Held in the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex in Jervey Meadows, the two-day meet will be hosted by Clemson University in what the Tigers list as their largest home meet of the season.
Meet Information
The Tiger Paw Invitational will begin on Friday at 2 p.m. with the women's 1,000m run, as well as the open long jump, men's high jump and open women's 20lb. weight throw. Day one of the meet will also include the preliminary rounds, semifinals and finals of the men's and women's 60m dash and 60m hurdles. The meet will resume on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 9:30 a.m. with the open women's shot put. The first running event will begin at 11 a.m. with the women's distance medley relay.
Last Race
Last weekend, Feb. 4-5, the Bulldogs competed in the Niswonger Invitational in Johnson City, Tenn. Senior Christopher Castagno and sophomores Micah Wessinger and Brunson Miller logged highlight performances again in The Citadel's second meet of the indoor season. For the second-straight weekend Castagno broke his personal-best record and the school record in the 35lb. weight throw with a mark of 57' 11.57". Wessinger tallied her second consecutive first place finish of the season this time in the 800m when she ran a time of 2:14.78, while Miller came in second place in the 400m dash finishing just .01 second behind his opponent.
