FULL RESULTSTEAM SCORESBIRMINGHAM, ALABAMAÂ - The Citadel men's and women's track and field squads came away with some memorable and impressive performances at the 2016 SoCon Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama. In total, 15 different Bulldogs were conference finalists and four earned all-Southern Conference honors. Additionally, several personal records were set and multiple all-time top ten results were recorded.

Devin Singleton, Josiah Johnson, Tyler Jackson and
Tevin Williams finished third overall in the 4x400 relay to highlight The Citadel's weekend with a time of 3:20.99. That performance earned the quartet all-conference recognition.

Singleton, Johnson and Williams each secured top ten finishes in individual events. Singleton paced the Bulldogs in the 400-meter dash and placed fifth overall with a season-best time of 49.74. Williams followed closely behind in sixth, clocking a personal record 49.99, which now ranks ninth all-time in program history. In the 60-meter sprint, Johnson grabbed sixth place overall with a 7.02.

Junior Malik Diggs capped a strong season in the high hurdles with a seventh-place finish in the 60-meter HH SoCon finals. He ran an 8.67. Highlighting the men's distance runners was
Jamie Cunningham, who clocked a personal record 15:34.35 in the 5000-meter and placed 17th overall.

Sophomore
Derrick Freeland wrapped up his indoor campaign in style with a personal record toss in the weight throw. His heave totaled 16.84 meters and put him in fourth place. That throw earned him a top three spot on The Citadel's all-time list in that event. Sophomore
Amos Jackson finished ninth in the weight throw with a personal record toss of 14.74 meters.

Dondray Copeland and
Byron Parmely rounded out the top men's performances in field events. They both set new personal records as Copeland leaped 6.23 meters and Parmely jumped 6.10 meters to take 14
th and 16
th overall, respectively. In the high jump,
Jackson Nosbisch and
Mitchell Noel each cleared 1.95 meters to secure seventh and eighth.

Senior
Caillian Colquitt shined for the women's squad by collecting a personal best time of 18:37.27 in the 5000-meter event. She finished 14th overall and earned the fourth-best time in program history. On day one, Colquitt ran a personal-best 5:26.11 in the 1-mile to earn the seventh-fastest time in The Citadel history.

The 4x400 relay team of
Sarah Johnson,
Ty'Rhonza Harris,
Summer Thompson and
Hannah Murray grabbed the women's top finish by taking sixth place with a time of 4:06.42. Harris also recorded a pair of big-time performances in individual events. She clocked a 26.80 in the 200, which is now the fifth-fastest time in program history, and a 61.49 in the 400, which became the sixth-quickest time in school history.

Sophomore
Asyria Daniels snapped a school record in the triple jump by leaping 10.73 meters to placed 14
th.
Hannah Murray followed in 18
th with a personal record jump of 9.87 meters. In throwing events,
Mady Reigel grabbed a top-ten finish by placing ninth overall in the weight throw. Her best toss reached 12.84 meters. Freshman
Kameron Cass set a personal record in the shot put with a toss that totaled 11.54 meters, catapulting her to a seventh place overall finish. The throw is now the sixth farthest in program history.

While qualifying for finals on day one of the SoCon Championships, the Bulldogs racked up 13 personal records on Friday. Most notably, Josiah Johnson set the men's freshman record with a time of  6.95 in the 60-meter to qualify for Saturday's finals.
