BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Paced by an electric pair of gold-medal performances from
Bradlee Jones, The Citadel track & field teams tacked on two additional individual titles while another trio --
Jabraivon Woodard and
Jaxon Brewer in the triple jump along with
Noah Casa in the 400m hurdles -- notched All-Freshman honors in the Tuesday finale of the 2025 SoCon Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Overall, the men's squad concluded the two-day affair ranked sixth with 70 total points while the women slotted in at eighth behind 24 points.
Jones, who claimed the SoCon Indoor Track & Field title for the 60m dash earlier this year, scored victories in the both the 100m and 200m dashes, clocking times of 10.47 and 21.15, respectively, en route to the only gold medals for the day for the Bulldogs.
Casa composed a new personal best in the 400m hurdles, logging a 55.23 mark for fourth overall.
Woodard, just a day removed from All-Freshman recognition in the long jump, joined Brewer in a pair of solid triple jump outings, as the former placed sixth off a new personal record of 43-11.25 while the latter picked up eighth via a 40-7.75 leap.
On the Men's Side
- Jack Weil punched in some points for discus with a fifth-place showing, registering a new PR with a 141-7 toss
- Connor Hill battled to eighth in the 400m hurdles behind Casa, recording a 59.42 time
- The 4x100m relay squad of Dylan Thompson, Reese Patterson, DJ Warren and Jones clocked a 42.66 mark for fourth overall
- Meanwhile, the 4x400m relay team, composed of Warren, Casa, Jared Campbell and Wyatt Carey, scored fifth off a 3:21.76 time
On the Women's Side
- Morgan Mankoski put together a new personal best in the discus, posting a 124-4 toss for seventh at the championships along with the ninth overall position in the school record books
- In the 4x100m relay, the four-woman crew of Alliann Johnson, Danielle Williams, Tamia Levine and Ellie Belcher logged eighth off a 53.12 mark
- For the 4x400m relay squad, composed of Johnson, Williams, Belcher and Eryn Tufts, the team similarly scored eighth via a 4:07.38
