CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel golf team is set to face off with Navy in a head-to-head dual at Patriots Point Links on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
Â
The dual match will feature one 18-hole round and all groups are slated to tee off at 1:30 p.m. This will be the second head-to-head dual in as many years after the Bulldogs carded a team score of 333 to beat Wooster, who shot a 339, in 2016.
Â
This will also be just the second time head coach Lori Bonacci has hosted a two-team event during her tenure at The Citadel and the first of two home events for the Bulldogs during the 2017 spring season. Coach Bonacci and company also host the Oyster Shuck Match Play April 3-4.
Â
The Bulldogs are coming off an eighth place finish at the Benbow Invitational in Jacksonville, Florida, as three finished in the top 35 in the two-day tournament. Renata Sucha led The Citadel with a 22nd place finish, moving up nine spots after carding an 82 in the final round. Marina Grimal and Cameron Little followed close behind as they tied for 32nd and 34th, respectively. Â
