HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Citadel golf team shot a 735 over the two-round Low Country Intercollegiate held Saturday and Sunday in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and hosted by Wofford.

The Citadel shot a 372 in the first round and improved by nine strokes Sunday, carding a 363. Cameron Little tied for 33rd overall with a 165 and was followed by Renata Sucha's 173 that tied for 68th.

Little led the Bulldogs with an 83 on Saturday, carding an 11-over-par to finish tied for 41st after the first 18 holes of play, before shooting an 82 and moving up eight spots on the overall leaderboard Sunday. Sucha followed closed behind with an 89 to finish the first day tied for 79th and posted a five-shot improvement Sunday to climb 11 positions in the individual standings.

Marina Grimal carded a 94-96 and finished the tournament with a total score of 190. Laura Simpson and Sara Winch both improved their scores in the second round, as Simpson carded a 101 Sunday after shooting 107 Saturday, and Winch lowered her score from 113 to 107 in the second round.

The Bulldogs have a small break now before returning to competition on April 3 in the Oyster Shuck Match Play at Patriots Point Links as The Citadel hosts the tournament for the second straight year.
