CHARLESTON, S.C. – On Saturday, Oct. 27, fans of The Citadel men's basketball team will have an opportunity to meet and interact with the 2018-19 team and coaches as Meet the Bulldogs Presented by Mountain Dew takes place as part of the football game versus Furman at Johnson Hagood Stadium.
The event will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the plaza near Gate 2 just outside of the football stadium and is free to the public. Fans do not need a football game ticket to attend.
The event will include introductions of the team and staff, a performance by The Citadel cheerleading team, a three-point shot demonstration, fun mini games with prizes, a DJ, free posters for autographs and more.
The Bulldogs will tip off the season with a home exhibition game against North Greenville on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. The regular season will begin with the 'Dogs on the road at Clemson on Tuesday, Nov. 6. The Citadel will then open the home regular-season slate on Monday, Nov. 12 and Wednesday, Nov. 14 with games against Mid-Atlantic Christian and Johnson (Fla.).

Season tickets for the full 15-game home schedule as well as six-game mini plans and single-game tickets are all on sale.
The full 15-game home schedule can be purchased for $150, or $340 for courtside. Mini plans, where fans can pick and choose six home games to attend, are just $72. A final decision on which six games is not required when ordering.
Single-game tickets are $8 for students ages 3-18 and $15 for adults. Faculty and staff of The Citadel, as well as recent Citadel graduates (2013-18), are entitled to discounted season tickets. Fans can also join The Citadel Basketball Association (CBA) to receive discounts and additional benefits while supporting the program.
Single game tickets will also be available for purchase from the McAlister Box Office on game days beginning one hour prior to tipoff through halftime.

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
Last season, the Bulldogs defeated three teams ranked in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25. The Bulldogs defeated fifth-ranked ETSU, 84-82, on the road on Feb. 20, 17
th-ranked Wofford, 80-78, on Feb. 1 and 19
th-ranked Furman, 100-92, in overtime on Feb. 3. The 'Dogs have increased their SoCon win total in each of the last three years under head coach
Duggar Baucom and staff and won a game in the SoCon Championships in back-to-back years under the same head coach for the first time in program history.
The Citadel ended last season ranked inside the top-25 in the nation in eight different statistical categories. The Bulldogs were second in 3-pointers made per game (12.06), third in total 3-pointers attempted (1,133), fourth in total 3-point field goals made (386) and steals per game (9.41), and fifth in total steals (301). The 'Dogs were also sixth in turnovers forced per game (16.94), 20
th in scoring (82.5 points per game) and 21
st in assists per game (16.50).
The Bulldogs return four of their five highest scorers from a year ago, including seniors
Zane Najdawi,
Matt Frierson and
Quayson Williams as well as junior
Kaelon Harris. The 'Dogs added a pair of graduate transfers and brought in two freshmen while adding
Tyler Burgess back into the mix for the 2018-19 campaign to compliment the eight returners.
