Cross Country Racing in 23rd Annual Disney Cross Country Classic Saturday

CHARLESTON, S.C. – With the 2019 season winding down, The Citadel men's and women's cross country teams are headed to Orlando, Florida to race in the 23rd Annual Disney Cross Country Classic at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
The men's 8K race will begin at 7:40 a.m. with the women's 5K race to follow at approximately 8:25 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Citadel women's and men's cross country teams competed in the Queen City Invitational Friday afternoon, with the Bulldog women finishing 15th, while the men wrapped up the event 18th. Junior Amber Opp finished 22nd overall with a personal-record 5K time of 18:47 to lead the women. Sophomore Lane Johnson led the way for the men for the second straight week, finishing the 8K in a time of 27:35.
COMING UP
The Citadel has one final race before focusing on the 2019 Southern Conference Cross Country Championships. The Bulldogs will take a short drive to Blufton to race in the USCB Sand Shark Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 19.
