Women’s Golf Heads to Blue Hose Match Play

NINETY SIX, S.C. – The Citadel women's golf team will participate in the Second Annual Blue Hose Match Play Tournament Oct. 20-22. The event, hosted by Presbyterian College, will take place at The Patriot Golf Club (par-72, 6,121 yards).
Tournament play will begin Monday with the first two rounds. The first round will tee off with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The second round will tee off at 2 p.m. The final round will start with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday morning.
The Bulldogs will be paired with USC Upstate for the opening round. Other opening-round matchups include Samford and UNC Asheville, Longwood and Presbyterian, and Gardner-Webb and Winthrop. Pairings for the opening round are based off Golfweek rankings.
The eight teams will play head-to-head with the winners advancing into the winner's bracket and the losers into a consolation bracket. Individuals will play the first round as stroke play to decide seeding for the final two rounds of match play.
Membership in The Citadel Brigadier Foundation is open to alumni and friends of The Citadel who are interested in supporting Bulldog athletics.
