SAVANNAH, GA. - The Citadel track and field teams opened up their outdoor season this Saturday at the Savannah State Relays with 11 top-three finishes.

Meet Highlights

• The Bulldogs were competing in their respective events among student-athletes from three Division I schools, three NCAA Division II schools, and three NAIA institutions.
• Men swept the javelin with Charlie Hatler taking first with a mark of 168-11 feet while Evan McDonald and Wesley Evans took second and third, respectively.
• Jacquary Bradford won the long jump with jump of 22-1.75 feet.
• Triston McClain placed second in the triple jump with a PR leap of 40-11.75. 
• Jonathan Toole took home third in the shotput with a PR of 42-7 feet. Toole was also fourth in the discus with a mark of 125-1. 
• Luke Vettel placed second in the vault with a jump of 11-6.
• Shannon Zicarello won the javelin toss with a new personal record of 122-4, her first top-place finish as a Bulldog. Anna Barfield also took a spot on the podium with a third place toss of 103-4.
• Kaeleigh Guth opened up with a second-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 35-7.25 and was third in the long jump with a leap of 17-4.
