CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel men's tennis team put up a strong fight on Saturday morning and led most of the singles matches early on, but the Bulldogs ultimately fell 6-1 to Radford at the Jack Adams Tennis Center.

- The day started with doubles action where the Highlanders clinched the doubles point with matching 6-1 victories at No. 1 and No. 3. Freshman Phillip Quinn and junior Noah Nawabi fought hard to take a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
- In singles action, sophomore Gavin Stewart was the first Bulldog to wrap up as he claimed a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles over Matko Varga.
- At No. 3, Nawabi pushed Alexandros Caldwell to a tiebreaker in the first set, falling 7-5. Caldwell then claimed the point with a 6-1 win in the second set.
- At No. 2 and No. 4 singles, Jack Pyritz and Willem van Zyl each took seven games from their opponents, falling 6-3, 6-4. Pyritz fell to Rodrigo Magalhaes, while van Zyl was defeated by Michiel Meekers.
- Roy Hobson fell 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles to Yevhen Sirous.
- Quinn was the lone Bulldog to have his singles match go to three sets. Quinn claimed the first set 6-0, but Andres Silva bounced by for a pair of 7-6 victories in the second and third sets as Quinn fought hard to continue his singles winning streak.

"I give a lot of credit to Radford. We had a good start in singles and I believed that this would be a match that we would stay on top of," said head coach
Chuck Kriese. "They fought back well and closed out strong. We are going to continue to stay the course, and if we learn how to carry leads, we could be a tough team coming down the stretch."
