Battle Makes Program History in Low Country Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Citadel women's golf team placed 15th at the Low Country Intercollegiate at the par 72, 5,836-yard course at the North-Moss Creek Golf Club on Sunday.
The Bulldogs shot a 334 on Saturday, followed by a 340 in the final round on Sunday. Freshman Mackenzie Battle continued to lead the team after firing a 75 on Saturday, followed by an 80 on Sunday to place her tied for 22nd. Battle becomes the first golfer in program history to ever record a score of 75 four times in one full season.
Sarah Smith and Andrea Hoos finished in a tie for 76th, while Ashlee Richardson finished 88th. Sophomore Nadia Sandler rounded out the Bulldogs with a 91st place finish.
The Bulldogs are back in action March 31 as they travel to the Edisto Island Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern University.
