QUOTABLES FROM COACH KRIESE
"We were very happy to be able to play this match after so many rainouts. The fact that we were able to play this morning was excellent for the team as we needed a good rep at winning," said head coach
Chuck Kriese. "We played a very well-coached southern Wesleyan team. Nathan Thompson is one of my former players, and he has done an excellent job. Every point was tough, but the guys fought hard and played to the end. We had to earn every point. I'm especially proud of Jack as he overcame a lot of adversity in the second set and came through to clinch the match for us. Sometimes, you have to lose to grow, but today we grew and we gained confidence as well. That was a very good thing for our team. We are looking forward to our next challenge against two very good teams on Monday."
UP NEXT
The Bulldogs will travel up to North Carolina for a neutral-site match in Raleigh against Penn and a road SoCon match at UNCG. The 'Dogs and Quakers will play Monday, March 4 at 9 a.m., and the match against UNCG will begin at 4 p.m.
