CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel track and field team tallied five first-place victories while competing in the Buccaneer Invitational on Saturday.
Shannon Zicarello placed first in the javelin with a mark of 119-11 while
Casey Miller won the 800m with a time of 2:25.19 to earn the number seven spot all time. The women's 4x100 took first place with a time of 50.38 that included
Joie Royer,
Tamia Burch,
Chelsi Smalls and
Kaeleigh Guth.
Charlie Hatler on the men's side, took home first place in the javelin with a mark of 181-1.Â
Kaeleigh Guth broke school record in the triple jump with a leap of 35-11.25 to take second place while also taking fifth in the long jump with a jump of 16-0.25.
Mya Dollard earned the third spot all time in the high jump with a leap of 5-3 to take third place.
Jessy Page took third in the hammer throw with a mark of 151-9 and also finished third in the discus with a toss of 132-6.
David McDonald earned the Bulldogs a second place finish with a new personal record of 164-7.
Sam Blumer took second in the pole vault with a PR of 15-4 to earn the number three spot in program history.
Ja'Lon Williams placed second in the shot put while also taking fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 155-3.
TJ Hollis won the triple jump with a PR of 43-8 and took third in the high jump with another PR of 6-2.75.Â
Johnathan Toole placed third in the shot with PR of 45-1.75 while
Lane Johnson was third in the 5k with a time of 16:00.89.Â
Keefe White took third place in the 400IH with a time of 59.61.
Francis O'Brien took home second in the steeple chase with a final time of 10:20.33.
The Citadel will return to action when they travel to N.C. State to compete in the Raleigh Relays on March 29-30.Â
