STATESBORO, Ga. – The Citadel mixed rifle team dropped a road match at Georgia Southern Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs shot an aggregate score of 4,512 to finish second behind the Eagles, who finished with a score of 4,574. The Bulldog women finished with a score of 4,287.
 
Freshman Charlotte Welsh finished second overall with an aggregate score of 1,142. She finished sixth in smallbore and second in air rifle.
 
Three-Position Smallbore

• Max Brabston led the Bulldogs in smallbore with a score of 562. The score was good enough for fourth place.
• Charlotte Welsh was sixth after shooting a 556.
• Cameron Bates was seventh with a 555.
• Taylor Swiger led the women's team with a score of 534 to finish 11^th overall.
• Emma McCorkle shot a 525 to finish 12^th.

 
Air Rifle

• Charlotte Welsh fired a 586 to place second overall in air rifle.
• Cameron Bates was fourth with a score of 575.
• Emily Perkins finished with a score of 570 to place seventh.
• Demi Perez was the top performer on the women's team with a 566, finishing eighth.
