Bulldogs Continue to Improve in Final Day

EDISTO ISLAND, S.C. – The Citadel women's golf team continued to show improvement on the young season as the Bulldogs closed out play at the Edisto Island Invitational.

The Bulldogs closed out the event with a final-round team score of 320.

How it Happened

Megan Ikeda continued her strong tournament as she shot a final round 77.
Her three-round total of 231 is a career low. It bested her previous career-low 54-hole score of 237 set at the Southern Conference Championships last spring.
She played the front nine at two-over part, including shooting par on the final seven holes.
Paige Gilstrap shot a final round 78. She also shot a 78 in the opening round.
The 54-hole score of 237 is a new career low for the sophomore. It bested her old low of 240 set earlier this fall at the ECU Pirate Collegiate Classic.
Lauren Sommerfeld continued to improve in her freshman season as shot a final-round 80. The score came on the heels of a career-low 79 in round two.
Sommerfeld shot one-over par on the front nine.
Sarah Smith closed out the tournament with a final round 85.
Mirabella Calabrase shot an 89 in the final round.
