CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel volleyball team continued its momentum by sweeping Chattanooga, 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-12), Saturday night inside McAlister Field House.

How it Happened
- The Bulldogs jumped out to a quick start and opened an 8-2 advantage.
- The Mocs were able to pull within two points on several occasions, but four-straight kills from Makaya Middleton, Sharlissa de Jesus and two from Maddy Cardenas set the Bulldogs up for set point.
- After a short run by UTC, de Jesus put away a kill to end the set.
- The second set did not start out great for the Bulldogs as they found themselves trailing 21-15.
- A service error from UTC was followed by an attack error, kill from Ali Ruffin and an ace from de Jesus.
- After a timeout, the Bulldogs tied the set with kills from Ruffin and Gina Delancey.
- UTC responded to take a 23-21 lead, forcing a Bulldog timeout.
- The Citadel came out of the timeout by scoring three-straight points. The Citadel got a kill from Cardenas to set up set point, and Ruffin followed with a kill to end the set.
- The momentum from the end of the second set carried over to third as The Citadel turned a close set into a runaway.
- The Citadel used an 11-3 run to open a 20-10 advantage.
- After UTC score two of the next three points, the Bulldogs closed out the match with four-straight points, taking advantage of a pair of Mocs errors.

- The victory was the fourth-straight over the Mocs. All four victories have come in straight sets.
- It also marks the first time in program history the Bulldogs have beaten a SoCon opponent four-straight times.
- Ali Ruffin led the Bulldog attack with 12 kills.

- Maddy Cardenas finished with eight kills and two block assists.
