Bulldogs Compete at SoCon Championships

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Citadel men's and women's cross country teams each finished 10th at the 2021 Southern Conference Championships held at the Lexington Golf and Country Club in Lexington, Virginia.

Women's Race

The Bulldog women finished 10^th at the meet.
Heidi Fortin led the team, finishing the 5K race in a time of 20:02.0
Amber Opp was the second Bulldog to finish in a time of 21:21.5
Rebecca McCorkendale covered the course in a time of 21:51.6.
Freshman Kennedy DeLancy finished in a time of 24:40.1 in her first conference championship.
Lilly Inman and Clair Thomas rounded out the finishers for the Bulldogs.

Men's Race

The Bulldog men finished 10^th at the meet.
Sam Sharnas paced the Bulldogs with a 31^st place finish in a time of 27:16.4.
Andrew Smith was the second Bulldog to cross the finish line with a time of 28:21.4
Ty Duben ran a time of 28:37.0 to be the third finisher for the Bulldogs.
Alex Wulfhorst finished with a time of 28:42.0, followed by Devon Heisler in a time of 29:04.5.
Robert Perrecone and Aidan Richter rounded out the finishers for the Bulldogs.
