CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel volleyball team swept Furman (25-11, 25-17, 25-16) for the second time in the season and program history Wednesday evening in Greenville, South Carolina.

How it Happened
- The Bulldogs came into the first set strong with an 8-2 lead. A block from Gina Delancey and Belle Hogan forced the Paladins into an early timeout.
- The Bulldogs did not slow down, and continued to stretch the lead with kills from Maddy Cardenas and Sharlissa de Jesus.
- Furman was able to return a few points before a kill from Ali Ruffin sparked a five-point run.
- The first set ended at 25-11 with two kills from Delancey and a service ace from Ruffin.
- The Paladins started the second set with a 3-1 lead, but it was quickly returned and surpassed by a six-point run from The Citadel.
- Multiple kills from Hogan and de Jesus push the lead to 15-9.
- Paladin errors, another service ace from Ruffin, and a kill from de Jesus end the set at 25-17.
- Two Furman errors and back-to-back kills from Ruffin once again allowed The Citadel the early lead.
- A kill from de Jesus and two block assists from Hogan forced the Paladins into a timeout.
- Furman came back and went on a four-point run, only for the Bulldogs to return three.
- Back-to-back kills from de Jesus put the Bulldogs at a 22-14 advantage.
- Ultimately, a kill and a service ace from Hogan ended the set at 25-16.
