KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Citadel's Mackenize Battle shot a one-over par 73 to lead the Bulldogs on Day 2 of the Kiawah Island Classic. The Bulldogs shot a 309 on the Cougar Point Golf Course.

How It Happened

• The Bulldogs shot a second round 309. The score is a 29-stroke improvement from the opening round.
• Mackenzie Battle shot a career-best one-over par 73 in the second round.
• She opened the day recording a birdie on No. 9 to shoot a 37 on the front nine. She followed it up by shooting even par on the back nine.
• Sarah Smith finished the round with a three-over par 75. The round is the lowest of her career.
• Smith began the day with a birdie on No. 1 and followed it up with eight-straight pars to shoot a one-under par 35 on the opening nine.
• Megan Ikeda had the third-best round of the day with an 80. She was able to birdie the par-4 17^th hole.
