COLUMBIA, S.C. – After a strong opening day of the Weems Baskin Invitational hosted by South Carolina on Friday, The Citadel rounded out competition in the meet with six additional top-10 finishes on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday's six top-10 finishes brought the Bulldogs' total to 20 over the two-day meet, with 18 of those coming from individual competitors and a pair from relay teams. Four of the performances on Saturday came on the men's side, while two women shined for The Citadel.
Men's Results
- In the 800m run, Aidan Richter crossed the line in 1:55.95 for the Bulldogs, good for a fifth-place finish in the event.
- The Citadel logged a pair of top-10 finishes in the high jump, as both Prince Moody (fourth place, 6-2.75/1.90m) and Stephen Kraeling (sixth place, 6-0.75/1.85m) earned strong finishes.
- After the Bulldogs earned a pair of top-10 finishes in the open pole vault competition on Friday, Sam Blumer reached a height of 15-5 (4.70m) in the pole vault invitational on Saturday afternoon to finish eighth overall.
Women's Results
- For the second straight day, Milan Williams shined for The Citadel as she took fourth place in the shot put with a mark of 42-6 (12.95m). On Friday, Williams broke the school record in the hammer throw and carried that momentum into her performance on Saturday afternoon.
- Heidi Fortin collected the other top-10 finish for the women in the 5,000m run, claiming sixth place after crossing the line in 11:07.39.

The Citadel will be off for two weeks before returning to the campus of South Carolina to compete in the Gamecock Invitational on Saturday, April 10, in Columbia.
