How it Happened
- The match got off to an exciting start at 165 pounds as Selwyn Proter and Troy Nation each secured near falls in the first two minutes of the match.
- Porter trailed 9-7 to start the third period, but was able to maintain top position and force his opponent on his back to secure the fall.
- Ben Haubert nearly pulled off an upset at 184 pounds as he got a late takedown to take a one-point lead. He was not able to hold the position and Hopkins was able to get the reversal and take the match, 5-4.

The Bulldogs are scheduled are to return to the mat on Jan. 30 as they welcome LIU and Davidson to McAlister Field House. The Bulldogs will take the mat for the first time at noon.
