SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Citadel volleyball team fell to Wofford, 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-16) on Wednesday night at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

How it Happened

• The Bulldogs scored back-to-back points in the first set off an attack error and a kill by Sadie Gomez to make it 4-3.
• Wofford scored eight consecutive points to make it 11-4.
• The Citadel started to battle back after kills from Gomez and Makaya Middleton to make it 18-13.
• Set one ended on a Terriers' 5-1 scoring run.
• The Terriers started the second set on a 6-1 run.
• Kathleen Bula and Gomez interrupted a scoring run by the Terriers with kills, making it 11-5.
• Two kills by Wofford ended the second set, 25-13.
• The Bulldogs started the third set on a solid note with a kill by Gomez and a service ace by Kenzie Kellerman, making it 5-4.
• Both teams stayed evenly matched and were tied 10-10 with a kill by Jamie Holton.
• Four attack errors committed by The Citadel sparked an 8-1 scoring run by Wofford.
• Efforts by Holton and Ruffin at the end of the set were not enough for the Bulldogs as Wofford won the set and the match.
