Cross country Heads to Southeast Regional

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Citadel men's and women's cross country teams will finish their season at the NCAA Southeast Regional hosted by the University of Louisville. The championships will take place at E.P Tom Sawyer Park on Friday, Nov. 11.
The women's 6k will commence at 11 a.m., and the men's 10k will start at noon. The top two teams and the first four finishers in the race not associated with those two teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, held Nov. 19 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
For those attending, spectator parking is available at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park. Approach entry to the park from Westport Road. Turn right on Freys Hill Road and spectator parking will be on the right.
E.P. Tom Sawyer Park is located at 3000 Freys Hill Road, Louisville, KY 40241.
Parking is $10 per person in the vehicle (cash only).

Heidi Fortin will be the lone women Bulldog competing at the Regionals. Her personal best is 22:54 in the 6k. Fortin is looking to overtake her school record which currently stands at 22:48.
The men's cross country team will roster six Bulldogs in Louisville this Friday. The team has its sights on the NCAA D1 All-Academic Award.
