HISTORY WITH MORRIS COLLEGE

LAST SEASON VS. MORRIS COLLEGE
The Bulldogs and Hornets met inside McAlister Field House on Nov. 12, 2021 with The Citadel winning 108-67. The Bulldogs had five players in double figures.
Stephen Clark had 14 points and seven rebounds, while
Brady Spence had eight points off the bench.
SIMILAR OPPONENTS TO START SEASON
The 2022-23 season has a familiar look. Just like last year, the Bulldogs opened the year against a team from the ACC. Last season, the opener was followed with games against Morris College and Presbyterian. The same two teams are the next opponents on the Bulldogs' schedule, just in reverse order.
UNDER 60 POINTS ALLOWED
The Citadel held Presbyterian to 58 points in the 70-58 victory. It marked the first time since Feb. 19, 2015 that the Bulldogs held a Division I opponent to less than 60 points. That night, the Bulldogs defeated Furman, 62-56, in overtime.
CLARK'S CAREER NIGHT
Forward
Stephen Clark had a career night against Presbyterian as he finished with a career-high 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the floor. The 23 points are one better than his previous high of 22 points set against Chattanooga Jan. 8, 2022.
ENGLER TURNS UP DEFENSE
Dylan Engler may not show up in the stat sheet as doing much against Presbyterian, but the forward played a key role in the Bulldogs victory. Engler played 11 minutes of pressure defense that limited the Blue Hose to just 23 points in the second half.
MAYNARD HITS GLASS
David Maynard was all over the court against Presbyterian, pulling down a career-high 11 rebounds. He grabbed a pair of offensive rebounds that led to points as The Citadel outscored the Blue Hose by 12 points in the second half.
UP NEXT
The Bulldogs hit the road for the second time this season as they travel to face Butler on Nov. 19. Tip-off from Hinkle Fieldhouse is set for 7 p.m. and can be seen live on FS2.
