GAME NOTES
INDIANAPOLIS – The Citadel men's basketball team hits the road for the second time this season as the Bulldogs travel to historic Hinkle Fieldhouse to take on Butler on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. The game will be televised live on FS2.
HISTORY WITH BUTLER
The Citadel and Butler are meeting for just the second time on the hardwood. The teams only other meeting came during the 2015-16 season in Indianapolis.
LAST MEETING WITH BUTLER
The two teams met on Nov. 14, 2015 and it was all Butler as they prevailed 144-71. Derrick Henry and Quayson Williams each had a team-high 13 points for The Citadel. Kellen Dunham led seven Butler players in double figures with a game-high 24 points.
SCOUTING BUTLER
Butler enters the contest with an overall record of 1-1. The Bulldogs opened the season with an 89-53 victory over New Orleans before falling, 68-62, at Penn State on Monday. The Bulldogs will host Saint Francis on Thursday. Manny Bates leads Butler in scoring and rebounding at 20.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
COACHES RETURN TO ALMA MATER
Saturday's contest at Butler will feature a pair of head coaches who returned to their alma maters for a second stint as head coach.
Ed Conroy graduated from The Citadel in 1989 and served as the head coach from 2006-10. Thad Matta graduated from Butler in 1990 before serving as head coach for the 2000-01 season.

DURR FLIRTS WITH TRIPLE-DOUBLE
Freshman
Madison Durr flirted with becoming the first Bulldog to record a triple-double when he had nine points, eight rebounds and seven assists in 29 minutes against Morris College.
BULLDOGS SET MARK FOR REBOUNDS
The Citadel pulled down 69 rebounds in the victory over Morris College. The total is the most for a Bulldog team dating back to 1974. The 49 defensive rebounds are also the most dating back to 1992.
UP NEXT
The Bulldogs hit the road for the Big Easy Classic presented by Embassy Suites New Orleans on Nov. 23-25. The Citadel opens the event with a 3 p.m. contest against New Orleans, then follows it up with contests against Denver (Nov. 24) and IUPUI (Nov. 25).
