Kellerman Becomes All-Time Leader in Digs

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Libero Kenzie Kellerman becomes The Citadel's all-time leader in digs in a 3-0 (23-25, 22-25, 20-25) setback against Wofford on Wednesday night.

How it Happened
  • The Citadel started the first set by taking advantage of two attack errors committed by Wofford.
  • Wofford would gain the lead 7-6 from two kills and an attack error by The Citadel.
  • Two kills from Maddy Cardenas would narrow Wofford's lead by one, 18-17.
  • Late kills from Ali Ruffin and Belle Hogan would not be enough, as Wofford would take set one.
  • Kills from Makaya Middleton and Cardenas would give the Bulldogs the 7-4 lead in the second set.
  • A service ace from Hogan gave the Bulldogs a four-point advantage over the Terriers.
  • Wofford would go on a 6-1 scoring run to take the lead from the Bulldogs, 18-17.
  • Ruffin would have two late kills to stop the Terriers' scoring run reducing Wofford's lead by one.
  • An attack error from Wofford caused by Sadie Gomez and Cardenas would not be enough to overcome Wofford's lead.  
  • Wofford would start the third set on a 7-1 scoring run.
  • Three service aces from Ruffin would spark a 5-0 scoring run for the Bulldogs and would narrow Wofford's lead by two.
