Basketball Set for Three Games at Big Easy Classic

GAME NOTES

THE GAME
The Citadel heads to New Orleans for the Big Easy Classic on Nov. 23-25. The Bulldogs will face the host Privateers on Wednesday, before facing Denver on Thursday and IUPUI on Friday. The game with UNO will be broadcast on ESPN+, while the other two games will be shown free of charge on UNOPrivateers.com/watch

ON THE RADIO
All games this season can be heard live on 102.1-FM/1450-AM in the Charleston area. The voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, will be on the call.

HISTORY WITH THE FIELD
The Citadel has played two previous games against the three teams in the Big Easy Classic. The Bulldogs and New Orleans have never met, while the Bulldogs have faced Denver and IUPUI one time prior. The Citadel lost 70-58 to Denver in 2011, and 69-59 to IUPUI in 1999.

SCOUTING NEW ORLEANS
New Orleans enters the week with an overall record of 1-2 and are coming off a 91-62 defeat at LSU. The Privateers opened the season with an 89-53 loss at Butler. Jordan Johnson leads the Privateers in scoring at 14.5 points per game. He is joined in double figures by Khaleb Wilson-Rouse (13.3) and Tyson Jackson (11.3). Wilson-Rouse leads the way at 5.7 rebounds per contest.

SCOUTING DENVER
Denver enters the week with a record of 3-1 and are coming off a 70-69 victory over Idaho State. The Pioneers have four players in double figures with Trevin Smith leading the way at 14.5 points per game. Tyree Corbett averages 10.5 points and a team-best 8.5 rebounds per contest.

SCOUTING IUPUI
IUPUI enters the week with a record of 1-3 after a 59-45 victory over Franklin College on Saturday.Jlynn Counter leads teh Jaguar offense at 12.points per game. Chris Osten is averaging a team-high 6.8 rebounds per contest.

UP NEXT
The Bulldogs return to the Lowcountry and make the short drive up I-26 to take on Charleston Southern on Nov. 29. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
