CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel freshman guard Madison Durr scored a career-high 20 points to lead in the Bulldogs in a 79-57 setback to the College of Charleston Saturday afternoon in front of 4,630 fans inside McAlister Field House.

How it Happened

The Bulldogs got off to a hot start as David Maynard and Stephen Clark hit from in close to give the Bulldogs the 4-0 advantage.
The Cougars were able to respond with a 12-0 run to take the lead.
The Citadel kept the game close for the majority of the first half as Madison Durr hit a layup and Clark made a free throw to pull within six.
CofC pushed the halftime advantage to 14 points with a 10-2 run to close the half.
The Bulldogs got the scoring going in the second half with a three-pointer from the corner by Maynard.
AJ Smith pulled the Dogs within 12 five minutes into the half on a three-point play.
The Cougars were able to eventually wear the Bulldogs down over the final 10 minutes of the game for the final margin of victory.

Inside the Box Score

Madison Durr led the Bulldogs with a career-high 20 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the floor.
He also added nine rebounds, two assists and two steals.
AJ Smith and Stephen Clark each added eight points.
The Citadel finished the game 20-of-57 from the field and 15-of-23 from the free-throw line.
The Bulldogs scored 34 points in the paint and added 14 fast-break points.
