Durr Leads Bulldogs Against Cougars

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel freshman guard Madison Durr scored a career-high 20 points to lead in the Bulldogs in a 79-57 setback to the College of Charleston Saturday afternoon in front of 4,630 fans inside McAlister Field House.

How it Happened
  • The Bulldogs got off to a hot start as David Maynard and Stephen Clark hit from in close to give the Bulldogs the 4-0 advantage.
  • The Cougars were able to respond with a 12-0 run to take the lead.
  • The Citadel kept the game close for the majority of the first half as Madison Durr hit a layup and Clark made a free throw to pull within six.
  • CofC pushed the halftime advantage to 14 points with a 10-2 run to close the half.
  • The Bulldogs got the scoring going in the second half with a three-pointer from the corner by Maynard.
  • AJ Smith pulled the Dogs within 12 five minutes into the half on a three-point play.
  • The Cougars were able to eventually wear the Bulldogs down over the final 10 minutes of the game for the final margin of victory.
