CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel battled back from a double-digit deficit, but in the end, it was not enough as the Bulldogs fell 75-63 to Samford Saturday afternoon inside McAlister Field House.

How it Happened
- Samford got out to fast start as they jumped out to an early 18-4 advantage in the opening minutes of the game.
- The Citadel was able to battle back with a 12-2 run of their own to pull within four on an Austin Ash three-pointer in transition.
- The Citadel would get as close as three points in the first half before going into intermission trailing 30-25.
- The second half started in a similar way to the first as Samford opened a double-digit advantage six minutes into the half.
- The Citadel again had an answer, this time a 20-10 run that tied the game on a wing three-pointer from Elijah Morgan with 4:29 remaining.
- Samford was able to again push the advantage back to double digits over the final two minutes to take the win.
Inside the Box Score
- Austin Ash led four Bulldogs in double figures with 19 points on 5-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc. He also had five rebounds and four assists.
- Stephen Clark added 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
- Jackson Price was also in double figures with 12 points.
- The Citadel again shot well from beyond the arc in the second half, going 6-of-12.
- The Citadel finished the game 14-of-16 from four line, compared to 29-of-34 for Samford.
- The Citadel won the turnover battle, 14-9, converting those turnovers into 19 points.
