Bulldogs Fall at home against Privateers

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel tennis team dropped a home match against New Orleans, 7-0, Wednesday afternoon at the Earle Tennis Center.

  • In the No. 1 singles spot, Hayden Shoemake forced a three-set match against Marcel Volz. Volz took the first set, 6-2. Shoemake took the second set with a 6-2 victory, but Volz took the match in the third set, 6-0.
  • Sebastian Kamieniecki competed against Espen Lagarde in the No. 4 singles spot. Kamieniecki lost the first set, 6-3, but rebounded to take the second set, 6-4. Lagarde came out with the victory in the third set, 6-1.
  • Lucas Robins battled against Dhruv Tangri in a tight two-set match. Tangri won the match, 7-5, 7-5.
  • Andrew Darby defeated Drobnjakovic in the first set, 6-4, but fell 7-5 in the second set. Drobnjakovic got the win as Darby retired in the third set.
