Holland Breaks School Shot Put Record

LYNCHBURG, VA. – The Citadel's Carisma Holland broke the school's all-time record in the shot put Saturday at the Liberty Open Invitational.

Men's Results

High Jumper Stephen Kraeling earned a second-place finish with a leap of 6-07.00, placing him sixth all-time in the record books.
Prince Moody finished eighth in the high jump, clearing 6-01.25.
Prince Howard-Whitaker tossed 47-11.25 in the Section A shot put, earning him a ninth-place finish.
Reggie Reynolds competed in the weight throw, earning an eighth-place finish with a throw of 48-10.00
Sam Blumer placed fifth overall in the pole vault at 15-11.25.

Women's Results

Carisma Holland threw 46-8.25 for third place in the Section A division, breaking the previous record of 46-5.25 set by Hall of Famer Stephanie McNeill in 2007.
Tatiana Corso finished in first place in the open shot-put division, throwing a personal best of 39-10.00 to make her fifth in the school's all-time record book. She also threw for 45-6 in the weight throw, setting a personal record and earning her ninth all-time in the record book.
Leah Murray qualified for the 60-meter semifinals after running a 7.99 preliminary time, then bested that with a time of 7.94 to finish 12th.
Mecca Jackson also reached the 60-meter semifinals with a personal-best 8.01 for sixth all-time.
Emily Hickey set a personal record in the pole vault with 10-6.75, earning her third all-time in school history.
