LEXINGTON, Va. – The Citadel mixed rifle team finished second in smallbore at the 2022 Southern Conference championships in Lexington, Virginia. The Citadel women's team tied for seventh.
 
The Bulldogs finished with a score of 2255 to put them 11 points behind first-place Georgia Southern, while the women's team finished with a 2,140 to tie for seventh with the VMI women.
 
How it Happened

• James Hart led the team with a 569 total fourth place.
• Charlotte Welsh was next for the mixed team with a 567 for sixth place.
• Cameron Bates posted a 561 score.
• Jack Wittman targeted 558 points.
• Deanna Douglass led the women's team with 547 points.
• Emma McCorkle was the women's team's next best shooter with 534 points.
• Demi Perez took 531 points, while Riley Neiders earned 528 points and Kylie Green 522 points.

Finals

• Both James Hart and Charlotte Welsh advanced to the finals, with Hart finishing fourth and Welsh placing sixth.
