CHARLESTON, S.C. – Last Saturday, several members of The Citadel's football team participated in the Bicycles for Humanity (B4H) Charleston service project.
 
B4H Charleston is the local chapter of a global grassroots movement with a mission to collect used bicycles and ship them to developing countries in need.
 
The group of Bulldogs volunteered their time to break down old salvaged bicycles to be able to be shipped to Africa. The donated bicycles will offer communities the opportunity of mobility to access schooling, healthcare, water and food.
 
The shipping container will also serve the community as a bicycle shop while locals are trained on how to repair bicycles. This will help to create jobs, mobility and opportunities for the communities in need.
 
Season tickets and mini plans for the 2022 season are currently on sale. Tickets can be purchased by stopping by the ticket office on the first floor of McAlister Field House or by calling 843-953-3746. Tickets are also available online.
